Epicurean Living (Free eBook!)

Hi all,

I know there are still plenty of challenges from the pandemic, extreme weather, and just the ordinary stuff that comes with being human and caring deeply about our world and loved ones. But I hope you are finding moments of grace and pleasure, getting time to homestead, enjoying being with friends and family, and savoring the beauty of the natural world whenever you can.

Now that my Weed-Free Gardening final manuscript and the photos for it are off to my amazing editor Jessica Walliser, I’ve gotten caught up on a few homesteading activities like deep barn cleaning. I’ve also resumed work on some homestead improvement projects like painting the porch and putting in some new paths and planting areas. (Follow me on Instagram if you want to see progress reports for these projects).

Plus, I took a little time to get going on something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. It’s an electronic chapbook filled with Epicurean philosophy and related ideas on gardening, homesteading, creativity, and ecology.

This first issue introduces a few basics on Epicureanism such as the history and why it’s still useful today. There are also a some universally applicable gardening tips, an overview of livestock choices, creativity encouragement, and a look at some of the little things that can make a big difference in your life.
