Cilantro and kale coming in with impatiens, lantana, begonia, and malabar still in bloom. I love the spooky season when warm and cool loving plants comingle.
Getting the greenhouse ready for fall and winter use!
Something is beating me to the chestnuts. Time to get out my broom stick to solve the problem. No...Not to fly. Just need to use it to knock down the burrs before our resident squirrel 🐿️ family gets them all.
Have a few downed plants to clean up after the storm. My speckled Sussex looks like she got hit by a storm too. But that's just routine molting.
These gorgeous grapes are Noble Muscadines. They took a few years to establish. But now, the only work is cutting back a few of the more vigorous vines and two doses of mid-spring compost tea in the root zone.
Not Tuscany... Just my North Carolina backyard on a beautiful late September eve.
